Peninsula bridge events
- Written by David Farmer
Our events are run according to the NSWBA Tournament Regulations adjusted, where relevant, by the club's Playing Rules and Operating Procedures and any club supplementary regulations for special events (published in the club diary).
We also run qualifying sessions for events organised by the NSWBA, the Australian Bridge Federation, and sometimes for other bridge organisations - these organisations would typically publish their own regulations or supplementary regulations which can be found on their websites.

Looking for a partner?
We provide the Pianola Partner Finder service and a notice board to help you advertise to find partners. If you need help with Pianola Partner-Finder, one or our members has offered to help you.
Prefer to talk with someone about possible partners? Three of our members have volunteered to help. Try calling Lynn Hamill (9913 7215), Terry Herfort (0421 920 688) or Bev Peters (9417 4166).
Supervised sessions always welcome unpartnered players - we understand that finding a partner when you are still learning can be challenging. We also offer a Buddy Program for supervised players looking for a friendly partner during their first games not in a supervised session.
Non-supervised players unexpectedly without a partner and unpartnered visitors are welcome to any session marked with an asterisk - we will try to match you up including with those who have volunteered to be called to see if they are free to come in.
If you run into bad traffic you will need to ring your partner or another player to ask them to advise the director that you are coming. You can also ring the club phone 9970 6527 but it may not always be heard or answered if the club-house is busy and noisy.
Table fees for our regular sessions is $7 for members and $12 for visitors. Members can purchase prepaid vouchers/credits at a slight discount. For special events and lessons, the table fees may be higher.
Tea, coffee and a biscuit are provided free at all sessions but meals are not generally available.
Parking and transport
Parking is generally available in the Nelson Heather Centre carpark or in adjacent streets. Parking can be more difficult for our large Wednesday and Friday afternoon sessions. Players are encouraged to car-pool with fellow players, or to consider using public transport (B-Line bus-stop at the door) or the KEORIDE service.
