A large number of club members attended the Central West Festival of Bridge held in Orange between 7 - 12 July.

This was a friendly event held at the RSL with many local players from the area.  Orange is a pleasant town with many restaurants (bookings recommended) though cold in winter!

This event will be held again in April 2025.

Results

The final  results of the Jean Stebbins Trophy after 4 weeks are available.  After a closely fought contest, congratulations to Hans van Weeren who finished ahead of Ray Hurst and Brian Ody.  Thanks to John Rogers for convening.

Peninsula hosted an inter Club Novice team event playing against Manly, Roseville and Elanora golf clubs on 9th May, one of a series of four.

Our congress was held very successfully on 27/28 April at the Pittwater RSL, who we thank for sponsoring the event.

Congratulations to Ray Hurst and Brian Ody who won this played over 3 weeks of one-winner Monday sessions.

Aleksandar Milanovic and Hans Van Weeren were second and Cath Whiddon and David Farmer third.

This was held at our club on Sun 17 March.  Congratulations to North Shore Bridge Club which won the overall event.

We had our first of 4 Novice Team Events on 14th March , held at Elanora Golf Club with a wonderful sit-down lunch.

In addition to playing with Elanora Golf Club players we played against Roseville Golf Club and Manly Golf Club players. We just missed being 2nd by a few points.

In May we are the hosts so are looking forward to that.
