If you are interested, please see the flyer that is linked to below and the link for registration.

My name is Ilsa Bird and I am the project manager for a local Intergenerational Project.   I would like to invite your members to be part of our new program.

As older people in our community are required to isolate, to keep them connected to the community we have developed a Postcard Pen Pal program. This program links children and young people under 18 with older people over 65 in the community by sending postcards to each other.

Our activities aim to connect older people in residential aged care with local primary school students. As you would understand, our activities have been placed on hold as aged care facilties are on lock down.

Participants will receive a free welcome pack with postcards, stamps, envelopes and a short bio about their new pen pal. Personal information such as last names and addresses are not shared with pen pals and the program is run through a PO Box.

Sign up for the program can be done here or by sending back the information slip on the flyer.

I have attached a flyer about our program for more information, we ask that you please share this information with your members.
