Last Saturday and Sunday a group of dedicated PBC Restricted players headed to Wollongong to do battle in the State Restricted and Novice Teams.
There was more on offer than reputation, prize money, medals, wine, certificates and even red points - we also found the holy grail of home baked goodies for morning and afternoon tea!
As we headed into the last round, it was a tightly contested competition with 1 VP between first and second places. The combined PBC and Central Coast team of Sandy Carter, Nerida Gillies, Colin Speller and Jodie Gudaitis managed a good win in the last round to take out first place. John Simmonds, Sachiko Cathcart, Trish Berry and Sue Evershed had 2 big wins late Sunday to climb into a very reputable 5th place overall.
Many interesting boards were encountered along the way. There was a lot of debate over dinner at the pub on how to bid this one!
