At 1.40 it starts to teem ...then pouring... 1.45 we are missing 3 attendees - a car arrives and Louise dashes in thru the puddles and waterfall from the gutters - well I'm thinking, it's bucketing down, the walk paths are 2" underwater and the carpark is a little stream, no one else will arrive?? - when a car drives in ... mmmm - no one gets out??
At 1.50 Susan Eaton emerges with her broken foot in a boot wrapped in Coles bags!!! pants rolled up shoes in one hand, walking stick in the other and umbrella up! We all cheered her after she waded through the 3" on the paths and I dashed around to find the lost property clothes to use as towels.
Just as she sat down, I turned around and in wades Avril Moore - she walked from the bus stop - she doesn't drive! - again shoes in hand under a small umbrella.
We had a fun afternoon as always - these Novices are amazing fun.
