Following President Trish’s request for some ideas to encourage play at the club on Thursdays, a suggestion was made to trial a Round Robin teams for our green row players and invite other local clubs to send teams with <20 mp - which was keenly accepted by Manly & Elanora Golf Clubs.
On Thu 7 Sept we ran the comp and everyone really enjoyed the experience & are keen to continue in 2024 … the success was made possible by Dee Rowe’s great organizing of players, food and kitchen volunteer (thx Annie Gurton (a very new member)). It also helped the day go smoothly with Simon H & Susan J helping the players with team scoring, Bob Whiddon taking photos & setting up & Jen Ardill making a surprise appearance to add support.
There were 8 tables and the winners were MGC but PBC played & hosted very well - they did us proud!
And of course a big thankyou to Cath Whiddon for putting a lot of effort into organizing and running the event [Ed].
