Nine teams entered so it was run as an American Whist movement where each team played 3 boards against each of the others each week resulting in 9 board matches overall.
Vivien Eldridge, Sandy Carter, Nerida Gillies, Jen Ardill and Alan Davies comprised the second team.
Loraine Neville, Julius Danko, Ray Hurst and Brian Ody came third.
Teams could be up to 6 players.
