Alan, Vivien, Anne and Hans were the highest placed club team (albeit in a small field) at the Metropolitan Final held recently in conjunction with the Pennant Hills Teams Congress and so qualify to play in the Finals of the State Teams. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Anne Small, Hans van Weeren, Vivien Eldridge and Alan Davies who won State Open Teams Qualifier we held recently over 3 weeks at the club.
7 teams participated and we played an American Whist movement of 6 x 5 board rounds each week meaning that each team played every other in a 15 board match overall.
The winners won all of their 6 matches. Second were Sandy Carter, Nerida Gillies, Sachiko Cathcart and John Simmonds who won 5 matches. These two teams are eligible to be subsidised by the club @ 50% to enter the finals.
