UPDATE FROM CANBERRA!
Cassandra Mitchell and Clare Filmer-Ramsay were leading in the Penline 500 Swiss Pairs for almost the entire competition but sadly they were pipped at the post in the last match. However they did come second which is a great effort. John and Margaret Rogers were fourth.
There were a number of Peninsula Players in the open Swiss Pairs and the going was pretty tough. Even Tony Nunn was found in the far end of the room.
It is wonderful to see so many Peninsula players participating in Canberra. Good luck to all for the rest of the festival.
