There has been a clarification of the Playing Rules in regard to Brown Sticker systems.
Clause 9 (a) of the Club's Operating Procedures and Playing Rules states:
"In all Club events the only bidding systems allowed are those with which an average player might be expected to be aware of the basic principles."
The Committee has clarified the above by resolving that "Brown Sticker" conventions, as defined by the ABF System Regulations, may not be used in Club events with the exception of Championship and Trophy events.
The Committee has resolved not to give to protected pairs, any protection against brown sticker conventions in events where they may be used, ie Club Championship and Trophy events, State and National events.
