12 teams from Brisbane Waters Bridge Club travelled south to our club on Sunday 31 Mar for the annual Peninsula vs Peninsula interclub teams challenge. Most travelled by ferry across Broken Bay and were picked up in a convoy of cars excellently organised by John and Margaret Rogers.
It was a very enjoyable day. Vivien pulled the event together superbly, helped by Ronnie as director and by contributions of time and food by many Peninsula members. Special mention to Barbara Anderson who spent half a day volunteering without playing. I believe we made a good impression on our guests!
This event, now in its third year, was originally conceived by the teachers of both clubs (Christine Hadaway and Cath Whiddon) as a way of encouraging their newer players to enjoy teams play.
Check the photos of the day taken by Annegrete. Check the full results for each of the three categories on our website. You will note that we succeeded in leading each of the three categories, something we did not manage to do last year.
