The defenders' goal is to defeat the contract. With the opening lead defenders get the first chance to start the contest to win enough tricks to defeat the contract - it is often a race. David Farmer will help you discover and/or consolidate an understanding of how to choose the best leads against Suit contracts and to communicate with your partner.
