Congratulations to the winners of the recent Lawrence Shield U300 competition and the State Open Teams Qualifier event.
Peninsula won this event (score 30.5) held recently at North Shore Bridge Club (NSBC) with players from both NSBC locations - Willis (25.5) and East Lindfield (14), Trumps and Manly Warringah (9). Congratulations to all.
This event was played at the club on Fri 4 August and some of our players did very well with Max Paterson and Brian Ody coming 3rd out of 457.

By my reckoning 17 club members attended the congress, which is one of the main events associated with the ABF and issues Gold points.
None of us had a winning result in a very competitive field - see the results here.
Some club players played in the recent Brisbane Water Congress at Woy Woy. Congratulations to Sandy, Nerida, Sachiko and John who were the best Restricted team in the Teams event (played as one field). Cassandra Mitchell and Clare Filmer-Ramsay and partners came 3rd in the Teams event.
Congratulations to Hans Van Weeren who won this event with 64.1% ahead of Nerida Gillies 62.4% and James Fairley 62.2%.
