The 2019 Peninsula Bridge Club AGM on Saturday 30 November was well-attended. You can check the photos from the occasion taken by Jen Ardill and me (David Farmer).
Highlights from the AGM included:
- On behalf of the club Sue Riley presented our 2019 charity fund-raising to Ken from NSW Rural Fire Services,
- The contributions of the members of the committee who were standing down (Vickie Busteed, Greg Hay, Gayle King, Bob Whiddon and Sarah Young, and also Bill Fitzsimons who stood down during the year) were well acknowledged,
- Sarah Young made a special award to Bob Whiddon for his many years of professional work as treasurer despite not even being a player - this was warmly acknowledged by attendees,
- The new members of the Committee (Derek Colenbrander, Lynda Cowley, Helen Griplas, Simon Hunter, and Robert Scott) were installed and welcomed, and
- The contribution of President Sarah Young, who stood down after a number of years in the role, was clearly appreciated.
