Our Congress was held at the Pittwater RSL on April 29-30 and nearly 100 people attended on each of the days.
The Winners of the Open Swiss Pairs were Cassandra Mitchell and Clare Filmer-Ramsay which is a marvelous achievement!
The winners of the Restricted Pairs were Mary Carter and Fiona Fawcett.
The Novice Pairs winners were Lynne Talmont and Mary-Lynne De Jong.
We had 16 teams in the open and 7 in the restricted section. The winners were the Hudson team. Some of the members of this team, notably Liam Milne, are world class players so we were lucky to have the opportunity of being beaten by them! The Farmer team were the best Peninsula team coming in third so well done to them.
The Evershed team of Sue Evershed, Trish Berry, Sachiko Cathcart and John Simmonds were the Restricted winners.

There are a lot of people who contributed to the success.
- Rob Scott organised the venue and liaised with the RSL and managed to get tables magically delivered and returned.
- Bruce Kleem and John and Margaret Rogers dealt and delivered a mountain of boards.
- Ronnie Ng did a great job of directing as usual.
- Our young caddy Oscar did an outstanding job.
- Simon Hunter looked after the technical side of the event and made sure the bridge mates etc would all work.
- Trish Berry was also a great help at every stage.
- There were many people who helped transport and set up stuff from Vuko to the RSL and back again.
- Special thanks to Jen Ardill who was a last minute fill-in on Saturday and saved the day.
So thankyou very much to everyone who helped in any way and to the Pittwater RSL for hosting us from the convenor Vivien Eldridge and the TSC.
