This year, for the first time, NSW is holding State championships for players in separate divisions based on their rank. The club ran two qualifier sessions each with two sections, on Friday afternoons 24 and 31 July:
- Below National (National requires 150 masterpoints including 75 red and gold)
- All-comers (Open and Under Grand divisions)

The Club supports this competition by nominating and subsiding one pair from each of the three divisions to play in the Regional Championships on 26 September. The nominations will be based on the results of the qualifying sessions. The State Finals (online) will be held on 7 and 14 December (TBC).
