Our congress is going to be managed through My ABF and this is where entrants register and pay.
There are several very helpful 'How To' Guides, including videos, for My ABF listed here. Please read some of them first.
First, you need to register yourself with My ABF at myabf.com.au/accounts/register. This is a very simple process and you need to enter your ABF Number, email address (make sure it is correct) and a password. You will get an email with a link which you click on to complete your registration and profile.
Click on Support in the left hand side for a lot of useful information.
Click on Congresses in the left hand side to find the congress and register.
Some important points:
- You can enter now and pay later on; payment is not required immediately.
- The default payment method is “My bridge credits” but you do not have to buy or top up credits from which the entry fee will be taken - you can just pay the actual entry fee amount by providing credit/debit card details when you checkout (pay). 1 bridge credit = $1. So "My bridge credits" also means "Credit Card".
- You can pay for multiple entries that you have made at one go. Entries made by another person for you have to be paid separately. One way to do this is to buy the total amount of bridge credits that you need and then pay for all entries from that.
- If you are registering a team or pair, you provide the ABF numbers of the players (they must already be registered with My ABF) or you can enter TBA for now as a placeholder. It is simpler if everyone is registered with My ABF before you try and enter your pair or team.
- You only need to pay for yourself, you don't have to pay for the whole team or pair - though you can pay for others if you choose.
- You change their payment method to be "Ask them to pay" if you are not paying for them; they are then responsible for logging on and paying for themselves (and optionally others).
- At our congress, within My ABF we are only accepting payment by My bridge credits. If you cannot do this, please get your partner or team-mate to pay for you. You cannot pay by EFT, EFTPOS, cash or PPVs. Your cooperation is appreciated. If you wish to use Session Cards, please contact the convenor.
- Any member of a pair or team can change an entry.
- You can withdraw an entry prior to the closing date. If you have paid, you will get an automatic refund (not sure how long this takes).
- The easiest way to find your entries is to click on Dashboard on the left and then click anywhere in the Booked Events box.
Note, if your partner has entered the event with you as TBA because you have not yet registered with My ABF, then once you have registered, they need to add you to the booking (by swapping TBA to your ABF#). You cannot add yourself to the booking.
