Following the success of the first SALT teams event the club has decided to run it again. We have listened to the opinions of the participants and will now run it at a fixed time each week, on Monday evenings starting at 7:30pm.
We have 10 confirmed teams and are looking for at least 2 more especially at the 15-100 MP level.

The format of the new competition will be:
1. 20 board IMPS on-line team competition
2. Two divisions of 6 teams (members only, maximum of two “equivalent” substitute players over event)
3. The teams will be graded by total masterpoints, with the 6 top-rated teams being placed in the Serpent division
4. 5 week round robin where each team plays all other teams in the division
5. Each round will be played on Monday evenings starting at 7:30pm
• Round 1 Aug3
• Round 2 Aug10
• Round 3 Aug 17
• Round 4 Aug 24
• Round 5 Aug31 If all 8 players agree a match may be played at another time
6. The scoring system will be changed to that used in most team competitions, where the teams will split 20 points. This will ensure that every hand is important and interest is maintained for all 20 boards.
7. Green Masterpoints are expected to be awarded. The exact allocation method is to be determined
8. To support the club financially and to align with its club-hosted BBO sessions there will be a single entry fee of $21 payable per player for the entire five week event. Payment by 7 August by EFT to Peninsula Bridge Club BSB 062-205 A/C 0090 1717 with SALT2 and your last name and initial.
9. The competition will be convened by Robin Devries once again
10. A matchmaking service will be available again
