Bridge Club News

We recently ran a 3 session State Open Pairs Qualifier event on Mondays. Congratulations to:

• 1st   Ado Hardy and Derek Tyms (193 matchpoints)
• 2nd Trish Berry and Sue Evershed (179)
• 3rd  Hans Van Weeren and Aleksandar Milovanovic (175)
• 4th  Max Paterson and Anne Small (164).

This is a list of the leading pairs who have played several games in the Club's long running competitions. It is just indicative and doesn't account for substitutes and may contain errors!  As at the end of September 2024.

The fourth and last event for this year was held at the lovely setting of Roseville Golf Course.

The results are now available here - you can see your personal results booklet.  Terry Rothwell and Vivien Eldridge are the best club pair in 37th place.

We ran our session for this event at the club in August.  Congratulations to Michael Green and Steve Marton who came first in the 25 - 50 MP category.  Other club members did well.

Following on from the Central West Festival of Bridge was the ANC Butler Pairs in Orange with Open and Restricted sections.  19 club members played in the Restricted section (two days) and 6 in Open.

Congratulations to Denise McTaggart and Peter Westmoreland who came third in Restricted. 

A large number of club members attended the Central West Festival of Bridge held in Orange between 7 - 12 July.

This was a friendly event held at the RSL with many local players from the area.  Orange is a pleasant town with many restaurants (bookings recommended) though cold in winter!

This event will be held again in April 2025.
